Committee Preference Policy at GIMUN’24

At GIMUN`24, we aim to provide participants with a rich and diverse conference experience that allows them to engage with global issues and develop new skills. One important aspect of this experience is the committee assignment process, which determines the committees that participants will be assigned to during the conference. We have established a Committee Assignment Policy to ensure that this process is fair, transparent, and meets the needs of both the participants and the conference as a whole.

By adhering to this policy, we can ensure that all participants have an equal opportunity to contribute to the conference and achieve their goals. Preferences: Before the registration, all participants will be asked to indicate their committee preferences in order of priority. While we make every effort to accommodate these preferences, committee assignments are ultimately determined by the Secretariat based on the needs of the conference. Balance: In assigning committees, we aim to achieve a balance between participant preferences, committee needs, and the diversity of participants' backgrounds and experiences. Fairness: We strive to make the committee assignment process fair and transparent. However, please note that due to the complexity of the process, we may not be able to accommodate all preferences. Notification: Participants will be notified of their committee assignments prior to the conference. Changes: After the committee assignments have been made, changes will not be possible. Participation: All participants are expected to fully engage in their assigned committee and actively participate in the discussions and activities.
